On the morning of April 18th, the Shandong Province Textile and Garment Industry Chain Work Promotion Conference was held. The meeting thoroughly implemented the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the deployment and requirements of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government regarding the "chain leader system" of industrial chains, and studied the relevant work to promote the high-quality development of industries. The meeting pointed out that the textile and garment industry is a traditional advantageous industry and an important livelihood industry in our province. It is also a fashion industry and a technological industry that beautifies people's lives. At present, the textile and garment industry in our province is developing well. From January to February, the revenue and profits of large-scale enterprises achieved relatively rapid growth. The revenue increased by 3.5% year-on-year, 2.6 percentage points higher than the national average. Profits increased by 39.7% year-on-year, which was 38.4 percentage points higher than the national average.
The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to firmly maintain confidence in development, focus on the positioning of science and technology, fashion, greenness and health, accelerate the formation of new high-quality productive forces in the textile and garment industry, and achieve high-quality development of the industry. To strengthen the industrial chain, we should give full play to the role of the "chain leader system", closely focus on supplementing, extending and strengthening the chain, enhance the guarantee of elements, and accumulate momentum and empower the high-quality development of the industry. To carry out distinctive work, promote the upgrading of the workwear industry, build Shandong into a national highland for the workwear industry, seize the new consumption opportunities of "Splendid Confucian Style", and accelerate the brand transformation of the Lu brocade industry. To ensure good service and support, all provincial departments should adhere to the concept of "one chessboard", combine their own functions, take the initiative to plan, and work together to promote high-quality industrial development.
